Adbongo 2010 year in review

By on January 3, 2011 | Category: Blog | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 2 Comments

As the 2010 whirlwind tears towards the border of 2011 at sonic speed, most of us are reflecting on the calendar of memories we’ve created. For some, this reflection will result in a long list of New Years Resolutions. Others will savor gratitude for a year full of blessings. Whatever the emotions that arise as we look back over the year, our reflections will inform the way we’ll choose to live out the next year. As Confucius said, “Study the past if you would divine the future.”

At Adbongo, we’re looking back so that we might make sure we’ve absorbed the lessons the universe laid out for us to learn this year and so that we might set our 2011 goals. While some of this information will stay hidden behind lock and key, we’d like to share a few of our *sniff, sniff* sentimental musings regarding our year. Read more …

Project Eden: Adbongo Talks Trash

By on December 1, 2010 | Category: Blog,News | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | 2 Comments

We’re on a mission to clean out your cans. Yep, here at Adbongo, we’ve been talking a lot of trash lately.

For the past few months, we’ve been plotting away with the fellow madmen visionaries over at Green Ox Energy on a project aimed at revolutionizing the way we view trash. In fact, we’d like to scrap the word “trash” altogether. In an effort to nudge a rickety old paradigm over a cliff, we will no longer use the words “trash” or “waste”. From now on, we will refer to the leftover odds and ends as “raw materials”, “recoverable materials”, or just “materials” for short. Why are the terms important? Because they signify our attitudes towards the subject. Recently, we’ve come to understand that landfills are actually goldmines. Now, we respect them as if they’re King Midas’ courtyards. Cause marketing turns problems into opportunity

A new study released by Cone, Inc. reveals that consumers are far from satiated with cause marketing. Even though cause marketing has become quite the popular trend, consumers are showing no signs of weariness. In fact, they want more.

The data tells us that during hard times, Americans expect companies to step up and contribute to good causes. At Adbongo, we agree.  Right now, a seemingly endless parade of problems is marching across the news and across our own front lawns. But, as Robert South said, “Problems can become opportunities when the right people come together.” The time is now to perform miracles. Cause marketing experts teamed with companies aiming to help solve economic, environmental and social problems have the power to alchemize lead into gold.   Read more …
